Is anyone familiar with any of the information from a MRI of the breast and what is normal/abnormal?
i had a breast mri and the findings were:LEFT BREAST: There are numerous cysts in the left breast several of which demonstrate peripheral rim enhancement best demonstrated on postcontrast sagittal, fat-suppressed T1-weighted images. These “appear” benign. There is focal area of enhancement in the lower outer quadrant of the left breast in zone-B which appears somewhat amorphous and indistinct without well-defined ring-enhancing characteristics. This lesion does however correlate with a cyst on fat-suppressed T2-weighted imaging. An involuting cyst is suspected.BI-RADS category: 0I would love to know what any of this means so if anyone has any answers they would be greatly appreciated.
It sounds like you have several benign cysts in your breast. A relatively common occurrence.
The Dr who ordered this test will be in the best position to interpret the findings for you.
